Brown Sugar by Kesha Janaan Soap Review

Kesha Janaan founded Brown Sugar in 2017 when she started selling the whipped body butter she used on her hair while living in Arizona. The product was designed for hair and body and she perfected the formula over five years and now sells even more bath and body products that are handmade with organic, fair trade ingredients!

I received the Natural Soap Bar in Jasmine and Lavender to try. The bars are four ounces and available in 16 varieties, including unscented. They are made with an 85 percent organic soap base and essential oils for fragrance, with no synthetic ingredients.

The Jasmine and Lavender bar smells so soothing and is great for any time, but especially for a relaxing bath or shower before bedtime. The bar lathers well and doesn’t leave my skin feeling too dried out after. I still recommend using a moisturizer after, and Brown Sugar has plenty of options to choose from.

Bottom Line: Brown Sugar by Kesha Janaan is a Black woman-owned small business with a gorgeous array of natural skin and body care products. I loved the Jasmine and Lavendar soap bar, especially because it is made without any synthetics. Handmade soaps are a great gift for yourself or others and I highly recommend the ones from Brown Sugar!
