The Humble Chips mission is to humbly help snack eaters give back and pay it forward to the environment for future generations, one chip at a time! Company founders Alicia and Jeff have spent their whole careers helping feed Canadians with snacks and have shifted their lifestyle to one that is more sustainable, including consuming more organic foods and being more mindful of the home products they used. Once their son, Wilder, was born, they became even more aware of how slowly the shift to sustainable packaging was happening in the grocery world.

This inspired Alicia and Jeff to create Humble Chips, which are all Canada Organic-certified, gluten-free, and delicious!

What sets Humble Chips apart from other organic snacks is that even their packaging is sustainable. The bags are fully compostable and certified plastic-free, and the packaging they shipped to me in contained completely biodegradable packing peanuts! They were made from plant-based corn starch and dissolved in my sink after adding a bit of water, with no harmful chemicals left behind.

The chips themselves are certified organic and gluten-free and are made with chef-designed organic seasonings. Pictured clockwise from top left are the Smokey BBQ, Original, Creamy Dill, and Sea Salt & Cider Vinegar flavors.

My favorite thing about these chips is their texture — they are light and crispy with a good crunch. They aren’t as hefty as kettle cooked chips but are not as thin as some other chips I’ve tried. They have a perfectly satisfying level of crunch! The flavors are all distinct and don’t taste artificial. They’re all yummy, but the Creamy Dill is my personal favorite.

Humble Chips are available at most major grocers in Canada (see the full list here) and are now available in the United States exclusively at Whole Foods.

Bottom Line: Humble Chips is a well-rounded brand, with sustainable practices from top to bottom. Their product itself is delicious and you can feel great about snacking while paying it forward for future generations!
