I have very dry hands, even in the summer, so I like to use a heavy moisturizer to combat flaking and itchiness. Cap’n Coconut has an impressive line of coconut-based skincare that perfectly fits the bill!

Cap’n Coconut was founded by Emily after she needed to nourish her skin back to health after melanoma treatments. She drew inspiration from the healing properties of coconut oil and the long, cold winters living in Alaska and the Oregon Coast.
The Cap’n Coconut body balm recipe was soon developed, and the company has since expanded to body scrubs, lip balms, hair products, and more.

I tried the Coconut Body Balm and Roll-On Vacation fragrance. Both are made with organic ingredients and have moisturizing qualities.

The Coconut Body Balm can be used all over to help heal and moisturize skin. It’s made with organic coconut oil, Vitamin E, jojoba oil, and vanilla and coconut essential oils for a beautiful tropical scent. I used it as a body moisturizer and a little goes a long way. It’s easily spreadable and I don’t want to say it’s greasy, because that really isn’t the right descriptor, but it does take a minute or so to absorb fully into the skin. After that, though, my skin felt so soft and smelled lovely.
The balm can also be used for itchy and flaky skin, makeup removal, for shaving and post-shaving soothing, scalp moisturizer, eczema, post-sunburn soothing, and for massage.
Also, the packaging is so cute; I love the ocean scene and animals on the label! As you can see from the label, the products are also cruelty-free.

The Roll-On Vacation perfume is in a rollerball applicator and has 50 milligrams of CBD. You can roll on wherever you need some relief or if you just want to smell great! The CBD helps with headaches, neck and shoulder pain, sinus pressure, muscle and joint pain, and aromatherapy.
As you can see from the photo above, the ingredients include organic fractionated coconut oil, Vitamin E oil, vanilla and coconut fragrance oil, and the CBD blend.
I usually don’t use rollerballs because I don’t think they dispense enough fragrance, but in this case, I think it makes sense due to the CBD addition (much easier for targeted application). The fragrance is very light, so if you like a personal fragrance that doesn’t overwhelm the whole room, this one is a great choice. The coconut and vanilla scent is beautiful.

Bottom Line: Cap’n Coconut boasts a lovely line of organic moisturizers and body products. The Body Balm is my favorite, as it’s very effective and smells lovely. The Roll-On Vacation perfume is lightly scented and I like the added addition of CBD. If you want to support a woman-owned small business, this one is a great choice!
