Summer 2023 BE KIND. by ellen Box

The BE KIND. by ellen subscription is a quarterly box with lifestyle items hand-picked by Ellen DeGeneres from companies that give back! The Summer 2023 box had nine full-sized items to help liven up the sunny season.

*Disclaimer: This box was sent to See, Shop, Love! in exchange for an honest review. Post contains affiliate links.

BE KIND sends six to 10 full-sized products every three months and the subscription also features member benefits, deals, and other surprises. They aim to be Kind to the Earth, Inclusive of all, Nature-friendly, and Donate to causes and the brands featured will reflect these ideals.

The box costs $54.99 per box if you subscribe quarterly or $49.49 for an annual subscription ($197.96 every 12 months), which is a discount of $22 off of the quarterly price.

Opening up each box is always a fun surprise, especially since each one features a special design by a featured artist. This quarter’s box was designed by Sabina Fenn.

The box comes with a mini-magazine with a welcome from Ellen and information about all of the brands and items. I like that it goes in-depth about the inspiration behind each product and why they were selected.

Here’s what was included for Summer:

Full Circle Home Tough Sheet Reusable Towels and Ziptuck Lunch Bag Set: I prefer the ease of a paper towel when cleaning up messes but they’re obviously very wasteful if you use them often. These are the perfect solution: they’re made from 100 percent rayon from bamboo and absorb up to seven times their weight and are, of course, reusable.

The Ziptuck Lunch Bag set came with two bags that will fit a sandwich and/or some snacks. I work from home but I do travel often and these are great for packing some airport snacks!

Vahdam X BE KIND Tropical Paradise Teas: This box was made exclusively for the BE KIND. box and contains two each of Vanilla Spiced Chai, Lemon Ginger Green, Chamomile Mint Citrus, Turmeric Ginger, and Sweet Himalayan Green. Vahdam Teas partners with BYJU, an education technology company, to provide access to programs for over 100,000 of their workers’ children.

Ellen Shop Cheese Board and Cheese Knives: This little cheese board is so cute. It’s heart-shaped and came with five different types of cheese knives in a drawstring bag. There’s also a list of cheeses that the Ellen team recommends for your next charcuterie board in the informational magazine.

100% Pure Coffee Bean Caffeine Eye Cream: I’ve used 100% Pure’s products before and they are wonderful. They’re vegan and cruelty free, with no harsh chemicals or toxins. This eye cream depuffs and helps boost circulation to lessen dark spots and under-eye bags.

Mineral Fusion Hydro-Shine Lip Gloss Bundle: These Mineral Fusion hydrating lip glosses are cruelty-free, gluten-free, hypoallergenic, and vegan. The shades Jaipur (peachy pink) and Bermuda (pale orange pink) were in the box. Both are highly pigmented and feel more like a liquid lipstick to me than a gloss, but the shades are perfect for the summer (swatches below).

Sabina Fenn Postcard Set: Sabina Fenn is this month’s box artist and a set of three or her postcards was also included. They can be sent away to friends or framed for fun accent art. I love the summery designs!

Here are all three of the Sabina Fenn postcards.

Bottom Line: All of the items in the BE KIND. by ellen box were perfect for summer! I especially like the Full Circle reusable towels and 100% Pure eye cream. This quarter’s selection had a much better variety, I think, than the Spring box.
